Oregon Caves To Delay Opening As Cost-Saving Measure

By Jim McCoy Tue 25th March NewsOregon Caves
The Oregon Caves National Monument in Southern Oregon is delaying the start of tours for a month to save money. The Grants Pass Daily Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1h5VXLE ) that ranger-led tours of the limestone caves located outside Cave Junction will begin April 26. The National Park Service said in a statement that the delay will reduce operating costs during the slow spring months, allowing the monument to concentrate the use of available funds during the busiest months of the year. Tours run through Nov. 2.
