Man Suspiciously Approaches Child In Grants Pass

By Jim McCoy Thu 17th April Newssuspicious incident
A girl waiting for the bus this morning safely steered clear of a man offering her a ride. The incident occurred at about 7:25 a.m. in the 2400 block of Leonard Road in the Grants Pass area. When a white man that appeared to be 25 to 35 years old with shoulder length hair stopped and offered the child a ride, she refused and he left the scene. He was reportedly driving a silver or blue colored sedan. The vehicle was headed west on Leonard Road, and turned south on to Willow Lane. The child made it safely to Redwood School and the incident was reported to the transportation office of District Seven Schools by the bus driver. While there was a heavy police presence in the area, and it was canvassed in a search for the vehicle, the school was not placed in any kind of alert status. Anyone who may have information is asked to call (541) 450-6260.
