The city of Medford has amended Section 10.1022 of the Municipal Code to allow political campaign signs without a sign permit. A press release to the media states that size, duration and placement rules still apply. Signs may be put up no earlier than eight weeks prior to an election, and removed no more than seven days after an election. This applies to federal, state and local elections. Signs in residential zones are limited to six square feet in area and a maximum height of six feet per sign. In commercial and industrial zones, the limit is 32 square feet in area per sign.
