Public Meetings Being Held To Discuss Oregon Beach Smoking Restrictions

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is holding four public hearings over the next week on the proposal to restrict smoking on ocean beaches. The Daily Astorian reports (http://bit.ly/1vhffTD ) the first is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Seaside Public Library. Others are Thursday at the Central Lincoln PUD in Newport, Tuesday at the Coos Bay Public Library and Aug. 28 at the North Mall Office Building in Salem.
