Roseburg VA Director To Retire

By Jim McCoy Fri 29th August Newsroseburg va
The director of the Roseburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center has announced she will retire in January. The Roseburg News-Review reports (http://bit.ly/1qMw0BQ ) Carol Bogedain said in a statement she planned to work three years at the VA and that time will end in January. Her written statement makes no mention of the scrutiny VAs around the country are under because of long wait times for medical care. She says it has been a rewarding experience doing the best she could for veterans. Former Douglas County Veterans Forum President Jim Little says he hopes veterans will be given input in the choice of Bogedain's replacement. The Roseburg VA director of women's health care, Marcia Hall, said it will take more than one retirement to fix what's wrong with the VA.
