Airport wants to sell control tower ad space
Rogue Valley International Airport has what it thinks is a unique idea for a moneymaking scheme, but city officials might not be so sure.
Airport director Bern Case says he is negotiating with a company interested in placing advertising signs on all four sides of the airport control tower.
Although no details have been finalized, the city’s sign code would need to be amended if permission was granted for the signs. What is proposed would exceed city standards when it comes to the size of the signs needed.
