Clearence given to mosque in Talent

By Steve Best Wed 28th September News

A Rogue Valley Muslim organization has bought a lot and obtained approval to build a mosque in the town.

The congregation currently holds services in leased space on Main Street in Phoenix, where they have been since 2007, but that location is to be demolished and redeveloped.

The Talent Planning Commission has approved a 2,100 square foot building in the 400 block of Highway 99 in Talent.

As the only prayer center in a 150-mile radius, the “Masjid-al-Tawheed” draws muslims from Roseburg to Yreka, and from the coast to Klamath Falls.
