Crater Lake caldera fall man heads home to N.Y.
The man who fell into the Crater Lake caldera in July has returned home to New York after weeks of care at the Rogue Valley Medical Center.
27-year-old Eric Brimlow of Syracuse slipped and fell head-first around 300 feet into the caldera on July 11. He was taken to hospital in critical condition after a six hour rescue by as many as 49 park employees.
Brimlow’s family says he has made great progress after therapy to regain mobility, balance and speech, but he still faces many challenges as he continues his recovery.
