Crater Lake Highway head-on collision: update

Medford Police Department say that 2 people were airlifted to hospital after a near head-on crash on Highway 62 at 5.30 this morning.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and had to be cut free by firefighters. One of the drivers took 30 minutes to extricate after the collision, which occurred on Crater Lake Highway near Burlcrest Drive.

The collision resulted in the partial closure of Crater Lake Highway. Police will give details of the drivers involved later today.
