Earthquake rocks East Coast

By Steve Best Tue 23rd August News

An earthquake initially rated at 5.9 magnitude and centered near Richmond, Virginia has rocked the East Coast of the United States. It was felt in New York City, Washington D.C., Boston and Martha's Vineyard, where President Obama is vacationing.

Government buildings in Washington, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, have been evacuated. Cell phone coverage is patchy in the affected area, and some lines and websites are reported down.
