Fire danger level to rise

From Friday at 1am the public use fire danger level on Oregon Department of forestry-protected land will be raised to extreme, or red level.

The industrial fire precaution level will remain at level 2.

Under this red level, chainsaw use, mowing or cutting grass with power-driven equipment and cutting, grinding or welding metal between 10am and 8pm will be outlawed
