KDOV-LP to Receive NRB Low Power Television Station of the Year Award
KDOV has a big vision to reach as many people as possible with the Good News,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “Through understanding the media habits of their audience, theDove has used their low power station to reach far beyond their home base of Medford, Oregon
The Low Power NRB Station of the Year Award is presented—with an understanding of budgetary restraints and broadcast limitations—to a television station that displays innovative and creative programming through its daily schedule; demonstrates sound financial decisions; is a force for the Gospel in its coverage of local Christian events, issues and stories;demonstrates a commitment to produce local programming to meet the spiritual needs of people within the TV station's broadcast area; and works in partnership with local churches and ministries to provide a media platform for voices unable to be heard elsewhere.

We are humbled and at the same time very excited by this recognition,” said President of theDove TV Perry Atkinson. “It’s been our desire to create a new model for Christian television in America; a family-friendly TV station that attracts viewers from all generations and walks of life.
The miracle story behind theDove TV is that theDove radio audience donated all the necessary funds to build theDove TV debt-free. In just two years theDove TV made its debut and is now seen on UHF channel 44, as well as Charter Cable Channel 18 in Medford and Grants Pass, and on Charter Channel 89 in Klamath Falls.
It’s a great acknowledgment of the terrific programs and features you see on theDove,” said Atkinson. “We are thankful to our listeners and viewers for allowing theDove to be acknowledged in this way.
