New life for Evans Valley Elementary?
Evans Valley Elementary, which closed in spring of this year, may have a second life as a co-op. The emerging Evans Valley Education Co-op says that although they do not yet have a done deal, they hope to lease an annex and grounds of the school.
One teacher has already been hired and the Rogue River school board says parents and others from the community will be needed to volunteer.
The co-op would operate at least initially on donations and fundraising. It would have individualized lesson plans and emphasize agricultural and environmental science.
