Small gains for Southern Oregon inns and hotels

Southern Oregon inn and hotel operators saw modest year-over-year gains in July.

Room demand was flat, compared to a statewide 1.4% increase, while the coast and Willamette Valley regions both saw 2% declines in demand.

Room revenue continued to grow, but only by a small percentage, although the coast saw a fall of the same amount.

The average room rate for Southern Oregon is just over $83, a bargain compared to $122 for Central Oregon, and $116 on the Oregon Coast
