Southern Oregon men in Molalla drugs bust
Two Southern Oregon men are lodged at Clackamas County Jail after a police traffic stop near Molalla netted around 11 pounds of marijuana.
Yesterday morning an Oregon State Police trooper stopped a Subaru hatchback on Highway 213 for an expired license plate violation.
After subsequent investigation led to the discovery of the drugs concealed in a large garbage bag in a rear stereo speaker box, the two occupants of the vehicle – 21-year-old Van Bivens from Rogue River and 25-year-old Travis Cox from White City were arrested.
The charges include unlawful possession of a controlled substance, identity theft, providing false information to a police officer, and parole & probation violations.
