According to a report in the Medford Mail Tribune, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners has voted to accept over $3 million in federal bridge replacement funds. It would go to replace the bridge on Fern Valley Road, which passes over the Bear Creek Greenway in Phoenix.
The new bridge would be better suited for commercial truck traffic, have defined bike lanes and sidewalks.
