Two Rogue Valley companies have developed an iPad app, which has won an award from Apple.com. Steve Best has more…

The two companies – Ashland-based Open Door Networks and Project A, which has offices in Ashland and Medford, developed and programmed the app, which is called Art Authority.

The app – which costs $9.99 - puts users into a digital art museum filled with prints and sculptures from around the world.

It was voted best reference app in the U.S. by the Mac App Store Editorial Team, and was described by the New York Times as “an experience unlike any other”.
