Police have released more details about the man they are still looking for following a drive-by shooting earlier this week in Central Point. Steve Best has more.

20-year-old Gabriel Perez, who is a gang member, is still on the run after the shooting early Tuesday morning at the corner of Beall Lane and Highway 99 in Central Point which left two people injured.

After a police chase, a car from which the shots are believed to have come crashed, killing one occupant. Two others were arrested at the scene, but Perez is thought to have escaped.

He may have sought help at a nearby home, and was then traced to Gold Hill, and was treated at Three Rivers Community Hospital. Perez’ whereabouts since his discharge, police say, are unknown.
