Three Oregon treasury investment officers are suing to have letters of reprimand issued to them removed. Steve Best has more…

The three officials say they were following written agency policies when they filed expenses claims last July.

Oregon treasurer Ted Wheeler has since then changed travel expense policies in the light of news reports concerning the travel expenses of money managers who invest the state's pension fund assets.

The three officials concerned are Ron Schmitz, who left his job as chief investment officer and director of the Investment Division for a position in Virginia; Brad Child, a senior real estate investment officer; and Andy Hayes, a private equity investment officer.
