Progress Being Made on New Fires

Crews are said to be making good progress on a string of small wildfires caused by lightning in the last two days, according to the latest report from the Rogue River- Siskiyou National Forest. 14 fires were started Wednesday and Thursday from lightning strikes- the largest being the 25-acre Iron Knob Fire near Applegate Lake.Read More »

Forest Service Urges The Avoidance of Popular Mountain Road

The following advisory as come from the Forest Service concerning the recently re-opened Bear Camp Road: "Due to predicted snow accumulations of 3-6” on the Bear Camp Road, the Weather Service is advising the public to avoid traveling the Bear Camp Road tonight through tomorrow.
