Melissa Sweat scored 25, but Ashland High product Kelsi McKinnis lit up the twine with 36 as Puget Sound handed the Lady Raiders basketball squad their first loss of the season 93-81. The Raider men fell the night before, 87-84 to Lewis and Clark. The men’s team is 6-3. In college football, the Raiders fell in overtime 47-44 to No. 3 Morningside in the NAIA quarterfinals. In high school football, Cascade Christian rallied for a 29-14 victory over Scio. This Saturday in Cottage Grove, the undefeated Challengers take on undefeated Dayton for the Oregon 3A championship.
