The South Medford Panthers girls will make their third consecutive Oregon 6A girls title game, thanks to their 45-40 victory over Beaverton Friday afternoon. The Beavers fought hard and came within a possession of tying the game, but the Panthers defense held. Julissa Tago led the 2012 champions with 15, including three baskets behind the three-point line. Ashley Bolston added a solid all-around game with 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists, good enough to earn Play Of The Game honors. The Panthers await the winner of the Westview- Oregon City game, tipping off at 6:30 Friday night. Tomorrow's championship event will be played at the Moda Center in Portland at 6:30 p.m.
