NEW YORK (AP) - Philadelphia's Michael Carter-Williams has been unanimously chosen to the NBA's all-rookie team. He's joined by Orlando's Victor Oladipo, Utah's Trey Burke, Brooklyn's Mason Plumlee and New York's Tim Hardaway Jr. CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago White Sox reinstated ace Chris Sale from the 15-day disabled list before tonight's start against the New York Yankees. The two-time All-Star went on the disabled list April 22 with a flexor strain in his left arm. Sale was 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA in four starts before tonight's game. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Tampa Bay has activated pitcher Alex Cobb from the 15-day disabled list after he missed almost six weeks with a strained side. Cobb will go right to work, getting the start tonight at home against Oakland, which has won five in a row. MINSK, Belarus (AP) - The Czech Republic scored three second-period, power-play goals on the way to a 4-3 win over the United States in the quarterfinals of the ice hockey world championship. Tyler Johnson scored twice for the Americans, who couldn't match their bronze medal finish from last year. VIRGINIA WATER, England (AP) - Sergio Garcia has withdrawn from the BMW PGA Championship because of an injured left knee, in an effort to make sure he's ready to play in next month's U.S Open. The Spaniard first felt pain in his knee during the final round of last week's Spanish Open. An MRI showed no serious damage.
