An attorney for Shelly Sterling has gone to probate court to seek an emergency hearing to confirm her authority to sell the Los Angeles Clippers despite opposition from her estranged husband, Donald Sterling. Shelly Sterling contends she is the sole trustee of The Sterling Family Trust, which owns the team. NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Rangers will be fighting to avoid a sweep and stay alive in the Stanley Cup finals when they host Los Angeles tonight. The Rangers are in a 3-0 hole going into the game. Only four teams in NHL history have ever recovered from that deficit to win a series. NEW YORK (AP) - Minnesota's manager Ron Gardenhire and Terry Francona of Cleveland will be part of AL manager John Farrell's staff for the July 15th All-Star game at the Twins home field. NL manager Mike Matheny chose Clint Hurdle of Pittsburgh and Fredi Gonzalez of Atlanta as his coaching staff. SAO PAULO (AP) - Thursday's scrimmage between the United States and Belgium prior to the World Cup has been canceled because Red Devils coach Marc Wilmots didn't want to get caught in one of Sao Paulo's famous traffic jams. The U.S. Soccer Federation says that Wilmots and American coach Jurgen (YUR'-gihn) Klinsmann spoke and called off the scrimmage.
