The top-seeded Williams is 5-0 lifetime against Pennetta losing just one set to the Italian. BILBAO, Spain (AP) - The United States looks to remain unbeaten at the Basketball World Cup when the Americans meet the Dominican Republic today. The 3-0 US tops Group C. The Denver Nuggets' Kenneth Faried (fah-REED') has been a major presence for the US, hitting 21 of 26 shots in the first three games. ATLANTA (AP) - The Braves are hoping an early home game against Philadelphia today will wake up their offense. Atlanta has been shutout in two straight games by the Phillies and has only scored once in its last four games. Despite the drought, the Braves go into this afternoon's game just 1 1/2 games out of the last National League wildcard spot. OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Seattle goes with Felix Hernandez and Athletics start Jon Lester in a battle of 13-game winners this afternoon. Oakland has dropped five of six to fall 4 1/2 games back of the first-place Angels in the NL West, while the Mariners find themselves 1 1/2 games out of the last AL wildcard spot. UNDATED (AP) - The fight for first in the AL Central goes on when Detroit continues its series with Cleveland while division leading Kansas City hosts Texas tonight. The Royals are clinging to a 1/2 game lead over the Tigers.
