Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend

The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gas in Oregon is $3.77.That's down 18 cents in a week and 47 cents in a month. It's 36 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA's Monday survey: Portland $3.75, Salem $3.68, Eugene-Springfield $3.71, Medford-Ashland $3.71. Locally, the price has been as low as $3.55 at Pilot outside Central Point.
