One Bank Heist Suspect Arrested, Another Sought In Grants Pass

A suspect in the robberies of four Josephine County banks has been arrested. 53-year old John Edward Perdue was apprehended Thursday evening, not long after detectives spotted him in a vehicle in the 800 block of NE Victoria Street. After obtaining a warrant, police surrounded an apartment Perdue entered and arrested him at gun point. Perdue is the suspect in February 21st robberies of Umpqua Bank and Key Bank, the Bank of the Cascades on April 1st, and Sterling Savings Bank on April 5th. Now, authorities are now on the lookout for a white male between 40 and 55 years of age that robbed a US Bank branch inside Albertson’s on Allen Creek Road in Grants Pass. The suspect- who is between 5’8” and 6’ tall, was last seen on foot. The robbery occurred Thursday at 5:53 p.m.
